Art has always been a means to express myself, capturing a scene, a moment, or an emotional expression, bringing to life feelings the viewer can easily identify with.
My formal training in Art began in High School and continued on through college where I graduated with a BA in Art. Desiring to share this experience with others I went into the teaching field at the High School level. My first experience coming with an assignment in Melbourne, Australia and continued with teaching back in the states. With each artwork today my expertise expands as I continue to experiment.
Through out the years I have worked in a wide variety of medias but my true love has always been Watercolor. Watercolor is a media that provided me great freedom using both vivid and subtle pigments of color. Thru the use of strong shadows and varying light sources combined with the starkness of the white paper I have developed a style that is totally unique.
Teaching half way around the world in Australia, which stimulated my love of travel. My travels to 5 continents and 30 countries have contributed to a wide variety of subject matter and different methods of capturing the beauty of the world that surrounds us.
