A love for vintage things drives me, as well as the desire to push the boundaries of what jewelry is and who it is intended for. My art is a fusion of fabrication and recycling. By combining various elements, conceptual themes & designs are created, drawing inspiration from architecture, Art Deco design and vintage mechanical parts.
Watch movements, coins & other small found objects are predominantly used as my canvas. I alter & fabricate complementary elements, transforming them into wearable works of art. These things together inspire me to create objects where historical beauty is showcased with an edge.
Being a self-taught artist has taken me in many different directions with my art. Jewelry fabrication techniques of soldering, engraving, piercing, riveting, cold-connections, chain-making & patinas are the focus of my current creative process. I have a passion to be as innovative as possible in the art forms I pursue.
